September 16, 2013. There was this girl I had been chasing after all summer of that year. She'd known far before this point that I'd liked. She often showed some signs that she felt the same way but for the most part we were plutonic. She was Hispanic, but she more so resembles a white girl so I always referred to her as a white girl. It was cute when she would get angry for me saying that. I had just finished helping out at my Uncle's restaurant, it was around eleven at night. We had been flirting over text all day so I couldn't wait to see her, I imagine she felt the same way. We lived in the same apartment complex which was right next to our middle school. I went to her house and her mom opened the door. I asked if she could come outside and her mom looked at me in a kind of weird way. Finally I see this this beautiful white girl in her sweater and booty shorts come from behind her mom with an embarrassed smile on her face. Her mom closes the door without saying anything. We start to walk and talk about random things neither of us really cared about, since we were both about thirteen it was easier for us to flirt over the phone than to do so face to face. Eventually, we sit together on a bench in the middle of our complex, she sits closer to me than expected, half way cuddling. I don't remember what we were talking about at that point, but I remember her eventually saying something along the lines of "I'm cold". She sits in my lap and holds me. The next couple of moments are a blur but I remember the kiss. I stare into her gorgeous eyes until I finally get the courage to do it. As was happening everything faded away. As if nothing mattered anymore. It was just me and that was all that I cared about. It lasted for maybe a good ten seconds until she bit my lip, which I had no problem with, except it had just surprised me. I jerked back just a little and this out her of. She complained that I was just like her ex boyfriend and I tried to convince her that I just didn't expect her to do that. It was awkward for the next hour or so we hung out. Then I took her back home, we had kissed one last time as she was walking up the stairs to her apartment. It didn't feel the same because I knew that whatever I thought was going to happen between us wasn't really going to happen. I'm still madly in love with her. We remain great friends to this day. I know she remembers that day but she doesn't feel the same way about it as I do. She's all I really want... I know that if one day she if she magically falls head over heels in love with me the same way I am for her, it would be perfect. And if you're listening... I'm sorry
