It's like the wars on the streets



There's a real problem I'm starting to see
It's the record labels choice of employees
And the roles that they hold, it's getting ugly
Taking intellectual white rappers, who talk more than just trees
And giving them a place in their damned company
Which isn't a problem, don't get me wrong
It's the intellectual black rappers that are being withdrawn
Being replaced with ones who speak only of rollin' logs
That's what I have a problem with, unlike the bongs
You make it seem like they have little education
What the fuck, america, thought we saw the last of segregation
All this solicitation, discrimination, intimidation
Makes me want to start a mothafuckin investigation
Label's hallucinations create glorification of humiliation for my brothers
And through separation and lack of imagination create it better for us others
I swear, the organization's hearts belong in the gutter
And if not the gutter then give me a pillow and they'll be smothered
Now i don't even know how accurate this is, it's based on what i've noticed
But it's frustrating they recieve no love, those who're devoted
And us white kids who's words are the one's being promoted
But if this is true then they're sick in the mind, obvious prognosis
2Pac, Nas, and also Biggie Smalls
I know similar's out there, yet I still haven't heard of you all?
Instead I hear about Macklemore, Chris Webby, and also Asher Roth
Don't get me wrong, like i said they're all pretty raw
But you give them the roll of speaking on social issues
Which makes the white man look like he's much more in tune
Im curious, when you're exposed whatcha gonna do?
Run away, remain the same, or do what you're supposed to
Hopefully it's not the first but rather the latter
And if it's not that you'll be churned into batter
By myself and some others who understand that this matters
Let the ones who aren't actors be who they should be, real rappers
