To the negative state of American families
I'm making an observation... families institutionalized
Broken up right in front your eyes
Drop your kids off at daycare you go to your job
Elderly parents get placed to side... let them die
Elders never get to share them gray hairs with grandchildren
Parents working 2 jobs to pay the damn bills and rent
It's not a matter of victim guilty or innocent
This is the society we're living in
Look at the crooked priorities, honestly
See the politics bicker over 2 parties like they represent the opinions
Of all the masses, classes... split into majority minority
With minimal camaraderie
Self preservation in society
Needs to be bigger than first person pronouns, like “I” and “me”
How about we try a “we”?... And switch it up a bit
Right now we’re living on some other shit
Tell me who your brother is?... And it ain’t gotta be blood
The selfishness is America will gobble us up
And spit us out if you let it be the culture you live
Then you’ll become a vulture feeding on the blood of your kin
