Northeast Atlanta residents say they're thankful to be alive but they're heartbroken after losing everything in a midtown apartment fire, which took 65 firefighters to put out Friday night.Those cats did make it out, but one dog in another apartment was killed. Investigators are working to determine the exact cause of the fire, but said the man in the unit where the fire started was smoking and there were a number of oxygen tanks inside.

A southwest Atlanta family says they were robbed at gunpoint inside their home by seven men armed with at least one shotgun.Kerry Kavanaugh he was at his Lynhurst Drive home with his wife and 6-year-old grandson early Tuesday morning when the men came in through a window.

Police arrested a man and woman following a high speed chase through neighborhoods and into a Cobb County backyard.Smyrna Police and the GBI followed the car through Smyrna into Mableton at speeds up to 100 mph. Eventually the suspect drove behind a house on Anjul Drive and jumped out of the vehicle.
