I live fairly much better than the average Zimbabwean
We couldn’t compare the weather in the class I’m in
But I’m born to parents who know true poverty
So in my upbringing they kept me from snobbery
We visited family from all walks of life
And I was taught never to ignore the poor in their strife
When the poor are the majority, a onetime priority
Their scattering to the back seat after elections is an atrocity
The priority of politics if plundered in promises
The problem with artists is no exercising infotainment
I believe I am the fine line between real life and publicity
For I can see the antiquity discrepancies of iniquity
The mirage of the pedantic, a façade for the practised
A collage of mismanaged inner war of avarice...
And censorship is a humbling chain for the masses

What am I looking for? Fame and comfort?
To feign being champion for justice against corruption?

And undress politicians for the oppressed?

I don’t vote for my voice is a poignant opinion
It’s a time bomb ticking for ineffective parliament
Occupying constituents becoming so truant
Their duties incongruent with hopes in the sewers
I need access to facts on the trail of my taxes
Being passive is madness, political malpractice
Your duty is to me, so include me duly
Not screw me and prove me a groupie of your foolery!

Why we put subliminal messages in sentences to rally mass sentiment!

Radio remote control of all communications

The cliché is to obey and pray for change
And refrain from saying what is plain insane, hey!
What have YOU proved so different from colonial masters?
You’ve made a ransom of freedom, DISASTER!
I want to be proud of being Black and African
Not be secluded to the plough of a mild agrarian
To send me to labour as if you’re doing me a favour
Empower to power to devour until your last hour
Scour the tower with growls to cower
Behind the foul enamel of the militant pariah!
