Patrick J. Derilus - Juxtapositions Project [tekst, tłumaczenie i interpretacja piosenki]

Hello, fam! What's up? This project gives attention to artistic diversity, which is meant to illuminate the minds of artists from all over the world. Now, people have their opinions about who they love and idolize, but give this some thought. What if you wanted to open your mind and venture into other artists. You were so used to the artist whom had somehow saved your life, but you still felt like you're missing something, like your artistic horizon isn't broadened at all?

Think about this for a moment. This might seem farcical:Who in the universe shares the same values, intelligence, and persona as my favorite artist?

My answer is:Art is a universal medium for individuals to express themselves, and to connect with people. As elusive as this sounds, there are qualities, both artistic and personal, who is connected with the one you idolize. We are, believe it or not, connected in one way or another.

I came up with this concept sometime 2+ years ago in my Visual Communications 4 course. From my recollection, I just wanted to emphasize interconnectivity, incite discussion and artistic inspiration.

REALISTICALLY THOUGH:

There are artists who will refuse to bond with one another for the fact that, people cannot be changed by an external authority. People must choose to change and open their minds.

I experimented with this idea on putting two icons side by side. You can check out the first volume of the project from this example:



Questions you might want to ask yourselves when looking at a Juxtaposition:
What equitable generalizations can you make about each juxtaposition?
What similarities do these two have?
Do you believe them to be similar?
Do you believe them to be different?
By compartmentalizing the individuals in each juxtaposition, would you find it more or less creatively stimulating to compare them? Contrast them? Or both?
How would you correlate one’s uniqueness to the other?
In a humanistic-linguistic context, do you see resemblance between yourself and the individuals in each juxtaposition? How are you able to make a connection?
In what ways can these juxtapositions be perceived?
In essence, though this project is a theoretical framework, can it be applicable to reality?
After reflecting on these questions, had this project influenced you artistically?
ALSO...Here are three steps to rousing intuitiveness and ingenuity within your mind, while observing these juxtapositions:


Take a deep breath.
Scan each piece.
Try to look at each piece in depth.


Don't overthink it. Just let it sink in.
