To find the man of her dreams, the husband to her wife
But Rome’s in hiding
Paranoid as hell, ducking sirens
Julie’s on the chase just hoping she finds him
One day Rome is on the block
On the radio he heard that a girl had been shot
Beaten and raped up on a rooftop
Worse part her named happened to be Julie
He couldn’t fathom the thought and pulled out a toolie
Filled with guilt, he pointed at his head
The last words he said, “I deserve to be dead”
As he fell to the concrete
Julie turned the corner. She was in arm’s reach
She burst into tears
Ran to the body to confront her worst fear
Rome being dead, was her worst nightmare
Julie filled with hurt and despair
Said, “without Rome, I worthless here”
Tears on her cheek, blood on her clothes

Then she took his gun
